Anonymous file hosts fill up with malware, spam and content nobody wants to host, and there is no one to hold responsible for any of it. On LobFile every file belongs to an account that agreed to the Terms of Service, which keeps that in check. The account is also what lets you see, delete and keep track of your own files later. Accounts are free.

For the same reason. A throwaway inbox lets a banned account come straight back, so sign-up refuses addresses from disposable email services. Relay and alias services that forward to a real inbox, and privacy-focused providers, are fine.

Your address is used to verify the account and to reach you about it. LobFile does not sell it or send spam; see the Privacy Policy.

The list of blocked providers comes from a public feed and now and then catches a real one. If yours is refused, let me know in Discord or via Email.

Files are deleted when:

• You delete them (or your account).
• The file is illegal under state or U.S. federal law.
• The file is detected as a virus/malware.
• You run out of account space while using the "Continuous Uploading" option.
• Your account goes without direct activity for over a year.
• The file or account violates the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy.

Otherwise, files will stay up indefinitely.

It depends on your plan. The limits for each plan, including Free, are on the Plan Pricing page. If you are signed in, the Account Info page shows your current limits and how much of them you have used.

There is zero tolerance for malware. If you think your file might be classified as malware, do not upload it.

You may upload content you own (or have rights to) as long as it is legal and doesn't violate the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy.

It isn't officially supported, and we'd prefer that you didn't. If you do, ensure it doesn't cause issues. You're responsible for all activity on your account.
